Homeland Security

Emergency Medical Management

Considered by many sources to be the top company in the country conducting training on mass decontamination and CBRNE topics. We are proud to have been selected by the City of New York for a three-year contract to train their 74 hospitals and first responders on mass decontamination topics. Within 11 months we prepared 1,200 NYC hospital workers to protect their patients, themselves and keep their hospitals operating during a mass critical incident. 94.3% of these NYC veterans rated our training a perfect “5” on a scale of 1 to 5. The curriculum includes Operations Awareness training, functional drills, tabletop exercises and technician classes.

We are unique in our ability to combine our expertise in Homeland Security and Network innovation. This can be seen in our courses on Homeland Security Communications systems/funding and our 911 training for dispatchers and communications managers.

Communications Technology

The ALS Communications Technology team has decades of experience in new technology development, management and education. We have trained nearly 40,000 students a year in 23 countries. Newly re-organized in 2003 as Applied Learning Solutions, this faculty and management team provide the highest quality training available on VoIP, Wireless, Optical and emerging technologies. The faculty are known for their subject-matter expertise, skills in making the training interesting and a hands-on learning approach with labs, workshops and exercises.

Rural America Curriculum

This curriculum was built from the ground up with assistance from many friends at rural independent telephone companies and the dozens of state telephone associations and networks who represent them. The result is a curriculum that provides the practical training independent telephone companies need. We teach how to plan and provision, market and manage in a rural independent territory.
